Hello and welcome to our website.

Four years ago, in 2009, we took the plunge and left life in the city to become winemakers in the Jura. We can now look back on four years of hard work, lessons learned, friends made, experiments, occasional disappointments, but primarily daily satisfactions.

Here we are now in 2013, a year which many predict will be hot and dry, which should be auspicious for a great vintage. We’re crossing our fingers in the hope of at least escaping the damp and diseases that last year brought. This year we’re going a step further in our desire to produce wines which respect both the environment and our customers’ health, by beginning the biodynamic certification process with Demeter. In addition to our organic certification, this extra label guarantees that our wines:

• are fermented only with the wild yeasts present on our grapes;
• contain even less sulphites than permitted by the new European organic wine charter;
• are never chaptalised to increase the degree of alcohol;
• are produced from vines sprayed with the lowest possible doses of copper, thanks to the use of herbal sprays which strengthen and regulate the vines’ natural defences.

Our vineyard is located in Mesnay, a little village a stone’s throw from Arbois in the Les Planches-près-Arbois gorge. We cultivate roughly four hectares (10 acres) of vines in the Arbois and Arbois Pupillin appellation areas, with a majority of Savagnin for the whites and Ploussard for the reds.
